Tara can usually remove minor blemishes, scratches, or something in the background at no extra charge. If there is something you are particularly concerned about please note when ordering. Touch-ups have not been done on your proofs. More significant touch-ups, removal, cloning from another picture, etc may require an add-on fee of $10. Tara will discuss this with you if you request such a touch-up.
For your proofs Tara creates a variety of effects on select pictures to show you the different options available. When ordering prints if you would like an effect on a different photo please refer to an example.
List of Effects
Below is a list of effects that Tara can create and you will see throughout your proofs. The letter after the effect is reflected on the file name of your proof (for the most part). This is just a list of possible effects.
- Black & White (b) - the classic look. It's perfect for portraits that have contrasting colors or textures. It can also decrease clutter or distractions.
- Chocolate Sepia (c) - gives your portrait a rich look. It is a version of Sepia but with less red creating deeper and darker browns.
- Duo (duo) - combination of black and white and chocolate sepia.
- Black & White with selected color (e, f or g) - this is a fun effect that can make the colors pop and your portrait look like a piece of art. Eyes, cheeks, clothes and props look great in color.
- Chocolate Sepia with selected color (e, f or g) - sepia with coloring can make a more old fashion look. Sepia can also make colors like blue and brown pop more then on black and white.
- Softened (s) - softens the whole portrait but yet the important features (eyes and mouth) are still in sharp focus. This gives the picture a 'portrait' look by softening shadows and giving more depth.
With digital, the options are endless. If you have an idea or you see an example in one of the portrait galleries that you like, please ask! Depending on the amount of work in the request there may be an add-on fee of $10.
